Writing Prompt: What Are You Longing For?
What are you longing for?
If we can catch longing when it arises, we might learn something. Sometimes, longing can be as simple as a physical urge or craving. As in, Iβm longing to go outside, for physical touch, or to eat a delicious dessert. Longings can also be more emotional. You might have a longing for connection or belonging. Or a longing to slow down or rest. Or a longing toward an unfulfilled dream.
Longing can reveal our hopes, values, and callings.
This week, letβs explore longing, by tuning in to your heartβs deepest desires.
ππ What are you longing for? What are you longing for today? And, in a deeper sense, what are you longing for in your life?
ππ Is anything important missing from your life? What do you most desire?
ππ What do your longings tell you about what matters to you? About your hopes, dreams, and life callings?
ππ How might you move closer toward the things youβre longing for?
