Writing Prompt: A Fresh Start
It's back-to-school week here in Denver. Back-to-school season reminds me of blank composition notebooks, and empty academic planners. The smell of the school supply aisle, the sight of sharp pencils and unused erasers. New teachers, new friends, and the possibility of a fresh start.
I'm not in school anymore, but the transition to fall still feels like a fresh start to me. A transition time, full of possibility and promise. The chance for a new routine.
It has me thinking about some "fresh starts" I'd like to make in the fall months ahead. More pots of soup, fewer plans, earlier bedtime, more reading.
šļøš Write about fresh starts you've had in the past - perhaps tied to seasonal changes or life transitions.
šļøš When you think about fresh starts, what possibilities come to mind?
šļøš What are you looking forward to as summer nears its end, and the fall months approach?
šļøš Are you currently in need of a fresh start? What would you like to change in your routine? What possibilities do you see ahead? What kind of fresh start do you need right now?
Happy writing!
